Can You Really Earn Money With Paid Online Surveys?
You’ve seen the ads, “Make $150 an hour!”, “Give up your day job!” etc but how realistic is it to earn money doing paid online surveys? After years of joining different survey companies and researching their methods, here is my review on how they really rate as an income.
There are plenty of legitimate survey companies out there but here are a few points to consider before signing on with any company;
- Do your research; There are plenty of companies that use this avenue to create quite elaborate scams. Finding a legitimate paid online survey company can take far longer than you would imagine.
Never join any company that insists that you pay them, even for ‘administration fees’. A legit survey company is paid by their client to gather information, they do not need to take your money.
- Do your research; The last survey I was offered had an approximate time to complete of 20 minutes. The payment for completion was less than US $2 – if I qualified! I don’t know about you, but I want more than $6 per hour thanks.
- Do your research; Not all companies offer cash payment. Some will offer goods, vouchers or incentive scheme points rather than cash. Make sure that you read the rewards fine print before signing on.
- Be realistic; Surveys are only offered when you fit their crteria, which makes them inconsistant – you will only be offered surveys by certain companies at certain times. The above example was from a reputable company and was also the first survey that I had been offered in over a fortnight
If you are looking for a for bit of fun – with the proceeds being ‘coffee money’ – then you can earn money doing paid online surveys, but for real income there are better ways to earn a living.
